Are you currently feeling like you’re in a hair color rut? Good news! This season’s bright and pastel dipped-tip hair colors are here to stay.

This trend, seen on the runways for Prada and Chanel, comes with choices of bright heavily pigmented pink and teals or soft pink, lilac, baby blue, mint chocolate, and rose gold’s. Though it is best for longer hair, when carefully applied, this look can also be very appealing on short hair.

The soft pastel colors are ideally combined with very bright, cool-toned blonde hair. As the bright, heavily pigmented colors are best combined with dark, cool-toned brown hair. Truth be said, it is a daring technique, so unless you are ready to opt for it, there is the non-permanent alternative with hair extensions.

With shorter more bold geometric hairstyles, this technique is typically not suggested. Instead, an all over pastel color(s) or customized color placement to better shape your haircut is recommended. Because there is such a thin line between the runway look and the more punk version, we recommend you schedule an appointment with a highly skilled professional hair colorist for suggestions on this technique.
