Euro Trip: The Drawing Room New York

(just an excerpt)

Renowned stylist Clyde Elezi brought a European edge to New York City when he opened his first hair salon, The Drawing Room New York, in March. Located in the city’s artsy SoHo neighborhood alongside high-end boutiques such as Chanel and John Varvatos, The Drawing Room – a 1,550-square-foot sleek and modern studio with a classical twist – features furnishings reminiscent of thsoe found in an art gallery and large windows that allow plenty of natural light to shine through. “Our vision for the space was to make it feel like you’re walking into someone’s loft apartment, which is how the name of the salon came about,” Elezi says. “The Drawing Room refers to a gathering place, and that’s how we wanted it to feel.”

The salon’s signature architectural cuts and styling reflect Elezi’s Greek background and year sof industry experience in both Europe and the United States. His brother, Color Director Alex Alezi, leads the team of colorists, who specialize in a number of techniques including balayage. “Our mission is to create custom-designed looks that reflect each client’s individuality, desire and unique personality,” Elezi says. “We feel successful when we see our clients walk out the door with beautiful hair and a smile on their faces.”
