The onset of cold weather has inspired us to change our looks. As we change our wardrobe it also inspires us to change our hair. This season is all about texture. Here are the top 3 trends for the season.

The Edgy Pixie:

A sweet pixie with shaved sides and tons of texture is a great makeover for a rebellious feminine look. It accentuates the cheekbone, jaw-line and neck. Great for the girl that loves to show off her makeup or accessories.

Styling tip: Spray a texturizing mist such as, Catwalk by TIGI Sea Salt Spray on damp hair. Blow dry in different directions using your fingers to create maximum volume. To finish the look uses a wax such as TIGI BedHead Manipulator for hold and to define the ends.

The New Bob:

Say bye to the straight angled bob! This season is all about waves and slight angled bob. This textured short cut effortlessly frames the face and encourages the no fuss styling look.

Styling tip: Blow-dry the hair in the outward direction. Then using a curling iron or wand wave the hair in different directions. The messier, the better. Then using a texture paste, such as TIGI BedHead Hard To Get, define the ends as you wish.

The Blunt Middy Cut:

Although waves are in, a straight across mid-length blunt cut is also on trend. No layers are need for this look, just a bit of feathering through the ends to add texture. This cut sits just below the collarbone and is ideal for those with straight fine hair. Reminiscent of the chic sharp hairstyle of the 90’s. Either a middle sleek parting or a side parting works depending on the face shape.

Styling tip: Use a moisturizing cream such as S-Factor by TIGI Smoothing Lusterizer on damp hair and blow-dry straight. Use a serum such as, S-Factor by TIGI Dream Drops Shine On! for a sleek and shiny finish.
